Although “WandaVision” was Marvel’s first television series, Kevin Feige revealed that the “Guardians of the Galaxy” Christmas special was the studio’s first project for the streaming platform.
The information was revealed in a special video to promote the attraction.
“This special was the first thing Marvel Studios ever did for Disney+,” says the studio’s creative director.
The filmmaker adds, saying that writer-director James Gunn pitched the idea for the special on the set of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ (2017), two years before Disney+ launched.
“On the set of ‘Vol. 2′, James Gunn said: “We should do a holiday special”. We all laugh. We thought it would be great… And then he wrote it, in three days.

Later, Peter Quill’s performer Chris Pratt described the special as a “fantastic ‘vomit’ story from the brain of a mad genius”, referring to Gunn.
As of now, plot details for the special are unknown, but Gunn has already confirmed that the event will be something of a bridge to the 3rd Guardians movie.
Recalling that the premiere is scheduled for November 25.
