The Team Can’t Wait To Film Season 2 Of ‘1923’
We know that a new season will be released soon after filming is concluded. Ford has confirmed that the team and he are looking forward to filming another incredible season. And that they can’t wait.
Ford explained, “The simplest answer is probably the most truthful: After two years of sitting on my ass during Covid-19, and waiting quite a few years for Indiana Jones to start, I had not done as much work as I wanted to and I wanted to do different things.”
He added, “So [Shrinking] came along and then, very quickly after that, 1923 came along. I took the job without a script for both of them, on faith that the people who created the projects were going to deliver me a good script.
I really didn’t realize how much work 1923 was going to be, and I absolutely feel it’s worth it. I’m excited to do another season of both.”
And then lastly stated, “They’re little things. I’m not going to tell you what they are. But he talks about turning a natural place into a city and the consequences to nature and for the people that live there.
He talks about it with real understanding and real complexity. I’m struck by how consistent it is with what I think — or what I might have thought was I a rancher with the same personality in 1923.”
‘Each Episode As A One-Hour Movie’
Ford also said, “I had met with Taylor, who gave me a very brief outline of what he had in mind, and I went on faith and my experience with Yellowstone, 1883.
He’s produced a work of incredible ambition, scale, scope [and] cinematic ambition. Taylor thinks of each of these episodes as a one-hour movie. And that’s the product that we’re getting.”
The synopsis of the series reads, “introduce a new generation of the Dutton family and explore the early twentieth century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition, and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.”
