New generations probably don’t know what we’re talking about, but those born between the 80s and 90s can’t fail to remember the fantastic film, directed by Ron Howard and produced by George Lucas, we’re talking about Willow.
Willow’s film had considerable success, grossing a lot, remaining for several weeks at the top of the box office, among the most watched films in cinemas during this period. Let’s refresh our memory with the movie
Before talking about the television series, as a sequel to the movie, it would be a good idea to do a little review of the original story. Even before the famous dwarfs of Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Snow White and the Huntsman, etc., there was the legendary dwarf Willow, an honest and courageous farmer who, because of her shyness, puts aside the dream of become a budding wizard.
But fate does not think like him, because unlike those who do not believe in his talents and pure heart, the veiled lady chooses him as the protector of little Elora Danan. A prophecy says that the little girl will be the cause of the end of the cruel Queen Bavmorda (Jean Marsh), who immediately orders her assassination. It will be up to Willow (Warwick Davis) and the warrior Madmartigan (Val Kilmer) to save the young girl and restore peace to the kingdom, avoiding succumbing to the clutches of the queen and her daughter Sorsha (Joanne Whalley).
