The 47,000 Italian employees of insurance companies will benefit from an increase of 205 euros. Ania and the Fisac, First Cisl, Uilca, Fna and Snfia unions reached the hypothesis of an agreement for the renewal of the contract which had expired in 2019.
Workers will receive a single amount of 2,000 euros, between the arrears of 2020, 2021 and 2022. Of these, 1,400 euros will be paid in cash, while 600 in social assistance. A thousand euros will arrive immediately.
Negotiations began a year ago after the presentation of the trade union platform demanding an increase of 210 euros and the strengthening of the contract area. From September, it lasted until today.
The Digitization Observatory and the Solidarity Fund
The National Observatory of Digitization and Technological Innovation has also been set up, which will make it possible to anticipate and manage technological developments and their effects. The Solidarity Fund has also been revised to make it an instrument more in tune with the reorganization needs of businesses.
Inclusion and parental leave
From a contractual point of view, the parties have also reached an agreement on the strengthening of an inclusive logic, with attention to the weakest subjects. Gender, diversity, disability and parental leave policies have also been strengthened.
Uilca: “Important agreement in this historical context”
The unions said they were satisfied with the agreement. According to Emanuele Bartolucci, national secretary of Uilca, the agreement is “particularly important in a complex and complicated historical moment”.
First Cisl: “Satisfactory balance sheet”
Even the national secretary of the First Cisl Claudio Pellegriti considers that it is “a satisfactory point of balance between the fair recognition of the commitment of workers in the category and the need for insurance companies to adapt rules to new forms of work organization”. .
