However, in the last season, we saw that Scott was selected to become a Santa by his predecessor. The role of being a Santa was passed by to a man like Calvin. Thus, later in the season, he also helps the previous Santa in identifying the mistake in his path as the Santa and makes him Santa Claus again. 

Thus, we can predict that in Santa Clause Season 3, the story of Scott searching for someone who can take his role will continue. During his search, he will get to know more about the predecessors or previous Santa Clauses.

We may even see how he will train his son Cal to be a Santa Claus, as he has no interest in being one. His interest is now in starting a family rather than being a Santa Claus.
