“Outer Banks”: the creator reveals plans for a possible season 3

In an interview with TVLine, co-creator Jonas Pate opened up about his plans for the 3rd season of “Outer Banks,” revealing details about his decision behind the big turnaround at the end of cycle two.

“We consider the scavenger hunt element to be an important and integral part of the series. As we brought Big John back, we realized that maybe there could be a way to combine these different treasures and create a bigger mythology. We’re excited about the possible storylines for cycle three with your return. “

He adds, “We think the character’s return can play a big role in interweaving these narratives.”

The story revolves around a group of teenagers who live on the beach in Outer Banks, North Carolina. When a hurricane destroys the will to live summer, it gives rise to a series of illicit events that force friends to completely change their lives. The search for the group leader’s lost father, forbidden romances, a troubled treasure hunt, and the growing conflict between them and their rivals make the summer an adventure they will never forget.
