The 30-year-long stop-motion animation ‘Mad God’ won its first trailer.
To verify:
Phil Tippett, legendary visual effects artist, is responsible for the staging.
Described as a world of “monsters, mad scientists, and war pigs,” the plot follows a lonely character traveling through a strange world filled with terrifying creatures.
Development for “Mad God” began shortly after the artist’s work on “Robocop 2” was completed, before stopping to create the dinosaur effects in “Jurassic Park”. After 20 years, he returned to work on the project, releasing short films between 2014 and 2018.
Tippett also posted behind-the-scenes clips of his work on his YouTube channel.
After its premiere at the Locarno Film Festival, the feature film will be screened at the Fantasia Film Festival on August 22.
