The MCU’s ‘X-Men’ debut still looks a bit far from happening, but actor Sam Richardson (‘Beautiful Revenge’) is already considering a role in the team’s upcoming reboot.
In an interview with Variety, he said he would love to play the Beast, scientist Hank McCoy’s alter ego.
“I would love to be the new Beast! I would like to undergo a transformation and become unrecognizable under a lot of makeup and artificial fur. He would be a lot like the mutant Richard Plett (his character in the ‘Veep’ series).
However, since it’s still early days for the “X-Men” to return to theaters, casting may still take a while.
So, do you think Richardson would be a good choice?
Previously, the role was first played by Kelsey Grammer in “X-Men: The Final Showdown” and by Nicholas Hoult in the more recent films of the franchise.
Meanwhile, it should be remembered that Richardson’s next work is “Tomorrow’s War”, an apocalyptic science fiction which will be released on July 2 in the Amazon Prime catalog.
He was also chosen for the voice over for season 3 of the animated film “Harley Quinn”.
The information was revealed by producer Patrick Schumacker, via Twitter.
Details of his role have yet to be revealed.

The new episodes are still in production and, according to co-showrunner Justin Halpern, are slated for release in late 2021 or early 2022.
“I believe that [a nova temporada] will come out later this year or early 2022, just because the animation takes a long time to do, ”he said during a recent appearance on the Master of None podcast.
DC character-based ‘Harley Quinn’ centers around Harlequin, who ultimately ended her relationship with the Joker once and for all, trying to earn a reputation as the crime queen of Gotham City. The series features Harlequin, Poisonous Hera, and a giant cast of heroes and villains, new and old, from the DC Universe.
Kaley Cuoco voices the main character. The cast also includes Lake Bell, Ron Funches, JC Smoove, Jason Alexander, Wanda Syker, Giancarlo Esposito, Natalie Morales, Jim Rash, Diedrich Bader, Tony Hale and Chris Meloni.
