Actor Taron Egerton (“Kingsman: The Secret Service”), in a recent interview with The New York Times, confirmed he was meeting with Marvel Studios Chairman Kevin Feige and some company executives.
Even though they don’t say or define anything about a specific role, Egerton may be Hugh Jackman’s replacement as Wolverine in theaters.
“I don’t think it would be wrong to say that. I would be excited, but also nervous because Hugh is so associated with the role that I wonder if it would be too difficult for someone else to do it. But I hope if it happens they can give me that chance.
However, so far Marvel Studios hasn’t defined anything for the character and hasn’t cast any actors. However, a new X-Men movie within the MCU should be announced in more detail.
It should be remembered that Pablo Schreiber (“Halo” and “American Gods“) has already said that he would be interested in playing Wolverine in the cinema. He is the brother of Liev Schreiber, the Sabretooth in ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’.
