Recently, Chris Rock came out of his silence about the slap.
Smith assaulted Rock at the 2022 Oscars after Rock joked that Jada Pinkett Smith was up for a role in ‘The Edge of Honor’ with her haircut. Pinkett Smith had previously been diagnosed with alopecia, a hair loss condition. Smith later apologized to the Academy and host Rock in an Instagram statement and was subsequently banned from attending the Oscars for the next decade.
