After that, a source said that the celebrated singer and Paul had been dating for ‘a few months.’ 

Marital rumors started to circulate in September 2023 after Adele referred to Paul as her ‘husband’ at a Las Vegas concert. In an interview on CBS Mornings a month later, Gayle King quietly requested Paul to corroborate the reports.

Who Is Rich Paul?

Paul King is a mainstay in the athletics world, despite Adele’s dominance in the music business. Paul represents some of the biggest names in basketball, such as LeBron James, Trae Young, and Ben Simmons, as the creator of Klutch Sports Group. An NBA general manager described Paul as “absolutely unrelenting in getting his players what they want, and he will use every means available to him to do that.”

Rich Sr., Paul’s late father, had a corner business named R & J Confectionery in Cleveland, Ohio, where Paul was born and raised. Paul had started at the University of Akron, but after learning that Rich Sr. had intestinal cancer, he switched to Cleveland State. A few months after the death of his father, he left college.

Paul got his big break at the Akron-Canton Airport in 2022, where while both of them were waiting for a flight to Atlanta, he met James, his first and maybe biggest client. James was impressed by Paul’s authentic Houston Oilers jersey, which he was selling at the time. Paul was also a vintage sports jersey vendor.

Prior to beginning a relationship with Adele, Paul’s past romances are not well recognized. That being said, he mentioned having three children in an interview from June 2022, one of whom was a daughter who was a junior in college.

And that tells us a lot about the man, his willingness to raise children, oftentimes alone and amidst building a big business.

Adele disclosed in the 2021 interview with Vogue that she had previously met Paul at a party. “I was a bit drunk,” she stated. “I said, ‘Do you want to sign me? I’m an athlete now.” Adele added, “He was dancing. All the other guys were just sitting around. He was just dancing away.”

Adele mentioned one of her favorite things about Paul at her Adele One Night Only CBS special with Oprah Winfrey in November 2021. The song “Easy on Me singer remarked, “He’s just hilarious.” “Oh, he’s so funny … and very smart. It’s quite incredible watching him do what he does.” They truly do sound a lot in love, as can be very clearly seen from here.

Paul and Adele celebrated Paul’s birthday in Las Vegas in December 2022. Singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to the sports agent in the audience, the ‘Someone Like You’ singer took a brief break during her Caesars Palace performance. From the platform, Adele declared, “I love you more than life itself—we wish you a happy birthday.”

At the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, Paul accompanied Adele, who took home the Best Pop Solo Performance trophy for her performance of ‘Easy on Me.’ Adele looked stunning in an off-the-shoulder Louis Vuitton gown in burgundy, while the head of the sports agency looked dapper in a tuxedo.
