The animated ‘Super Mario Bros’, produced in partnership between Nintendo and Illumination, has seen its release date brought forward in national cinemas and will face another big release: ‘Scream 6’.
Universal Pictures announced today that the Super Mario Movie will be released in domestic theaters on March 30, 2023, one week before its official US release (April 6).
It’s the same day that Paramount Pictures had scheduled the premiere of the new Ghostface-focused horror, which arrives in Brazil a day before the North American premiere (March 31).

Chris Pratt, star who plays Mario in Nintendo’s iconic character’s upcoming animated film, celebrated through his social media and shared his reaction after the official anime poster was released.
On Twitter, Pratt was visibly excited about Mario’s first poster and shared it with his followers. “This one is VERY special. Can not wait!!! Prepare to be surprised! Thursday, October 6. Official trailer. Live on Nintendo Direct,” the actor shared on Twitter:

Chris Pratt will voice Mario, and the animation will also feature Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Jack Black as Bowser, and Keegan-Michael Key as as a toad. Fred Armisen, Kevin Michael Richardson, Sebastian Maniscalco and Charles Martinet, voiced by Mario, Luigi, Wario and Waluigi, complete the cast.
“Scream 6” will take Ghostface and his trail of terror to New York City, following the pasts of other iconic villains. For those who don’t remember, Jason Voorhees also left Crystal Lake to visit the famous town in ‘Friday the 13th – Part 8: Jason Attacks New York’ (1989).
