In Italy we have to prepare for a drastic climate change, next weekend everything will be different. Important news has just arrived on the weather front with effects on many regions between Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th November. Indeed, the current atmospheric circulation is close to a turning point after a long period governed by a warm and unusual African anticyclone. The cold descending currents of northern Europe push us.

These plunging into the Mediterranean will give rise to a cyclone full of precipitation the likes of which have not been seen for a long time. Moreover, it is the first real disturbance with an autumnal connotation capable of triggering intense precipitation in many regions. The eyes were particularly focused during the day of Saturday 5 on the North-East and on all the regions of the Center-South where there could be violent storms with local floods due to the high energy involved. A first cold raid from Russia is therefore ready to attack Italy. Indeed, the large movements on a hemispheric scale could favor the arrival of a powerful cold wave descending from Russia. From a climatic point of view, we are therefore in a transition phase. In fact, the average temperatures in the main Italian cities of this period suffer a drastic drop. So let’s find out what’s happening in the three main areas of the peninsula.

Over the northern regions of Italy we will have very cloudy skies from the early hours of the morning with local rains and thunderstorms in the northwest, intensifying from the afternoon and evening, in later extension to Triveneto. Temperatures will drop further, with highs ranging from 16 to 20 degrees.

On the other hand, over the regions of central Italy we will have a cloudy morning over the Tyrrhenian regions with local intermittent rain showers, especially in Tuscany. On the contrary, on the Adriatic we will have great spells. Temperatures will drop significantly across the country, with highs ranging from 18 to 22 degrees.

Finally, over the regions of southern Italy, we will have partly cloudy skies in Campania, while elsewhere we will have ample clearings. Temperatures will drop slightly with highs ranging from 22 to 25 degrees.
