Watch out for broken spaghetti: this is what can happen

Published

Italy is very famous and known in the rest of the world also for a particular gastronomic product appreciated by all: pasta.
There are really many different varieties of pasta on the market: there is the complete, the classic, the one that requires very few minutes of cooking and the one that is perfect in certain circumstances such as for the sauce, everyone prefers the very tasty macaroni. There are also different types of pasta, there are: fusilli, penne, mezze penne, shellfish, spaghetti, lasagna, tagliatelle, rigatoni, etc.

Spaghetti, on the other hand, is certainly one of the most purchased things by consumers: many love them and use them for the preparation of various preparations. A very common practice is to break spaghetti for more practicality but this custom would actually be very wrong and science has also given quite exhaustive explanations. Don’t break the spaghetti: this is what happens when you do it: Spaghetti should never be broken when it’s time to cook it, but let’s see why according to the experts.
According to a study conducted by Richard Feynman, when you break spaghetti you can never properly divide it into two equal parts.

Why? Because when you try to do this, in fact, more and more frequent cracks are formed and for this reason the spaghetti is divided into more and more parts. However, when you use force to do this practice, waves are generated that run the length of this particular fine paste. These waves produced only create many different sized breaks and split the spaghetti into many more parts. However, there are also those who particularly enjoyed capturing this event by recording a video with around 250,000 frames per second, crazy.

Spaghetti is undoubtedly one of the most popular types of pasta among Italians: even abroad, when representing our country, images of dishes with these particular and subtle foods are often illustrated. Curiosity: it seems a certain fact that the oldest dish of spaghetti that has come down to us was found in a vast region of northwestern China and it seems to date from around 40,000 years ago, but it is millet spaghetti since the Chinese the noodles, although of very ancient origin, were mainly made from soybeans, since wheat was not even known.
