“Harry Potter” became one of the most famous and successful literary and film sagas of all time, and had eight hugely successful films released in theaters.
And if it depends on Warner, the franchise can win new productions.
The new CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery’s David Zaslav today revealed that he wants to work with author JK Rowling to develop more Harry Potter films and projects. It plans new content for the cinema and for HBO Max.
However, Zaslav revealed that the “Fantastic Beasts” saga is unlikely to gain more movies.
The third film in the saga, “Dumbledore’s Secrets”, was budgeted at US$200 million and earned just US$400 million worldwide.

Recently, Ann Sarnoff confirmed to Bloomberg that she plans to expand the main franchise with more original productions.
“We would like to develop more original productions based on ‘Harry Potter’. We speak regularly with JK Rowling [criadora da saga] and your team. However, everything we do must be true to the Wizarding World canon and universe,” she said.
