According to Deadline, the adaptation of “ Uncharted, ” starring Tom Holland (“ Spider-Man ”) and Mark Wahlberg (“ Transformers ”), saw its premiere postponed for a week in the United States.
Sony Pictures announced that the feature will be released on February 18, 2022.
The date change keeps the film from colliding with the suspense “Death on the Nile” and the comedy “Marry Me”, starring Jennifer Lopez. Additionally, the website claims Sony was unwilling to launch production on the same weekend as the Super Bowl.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the Sony adaptation will take place before the events of the first game and serve as the source story for the acclaimed character, when Drake (Holland) embarks on his first adventure through inhospitable regions alongside mentor Sully ( Wahlberg).
For strangers, Fleischer is responsible for the success of ‘Venom’, which has raised over $ 850 million in theaters, in addition to bringing the ‘Zumbilândia‘ franchise and the ‘Hunt for Gangster’ action flick to the big screen.
The screenplay was written by Jonathan Rosenberg and Mark Walker.
Antonio Banderas and Tati Gabrielle are also part of the cast.
