Chris Hemsworth recently gave an interview for Vanity Fair. The well-known face of Thor seems to have had a change of heart, compared to a while ago. In recent months, in fact, the Australian interpreter had said he was ready to embody the character of the Marvel Cinematic Universe until the fans got tired. Since then, however, his thinking on the matter has reportedly changed dramatically. In the pages of the famous magazine, Hemsworth hinted – in a not too veiled way – that Thor could come to a conclusion. As happened with Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain American, even the Norse deity-inspired character could find his end.

“I feel like we should probably close the book if I do it again, you know what I mean?” – said the interpreter regarding the fate of the project, continuing – I think we should close the Thor chapter if we ever do another one, if you know what I mean. I think it’s time. That should be a definitive conclusion, but I’m not saying that because I’ve been told about some plans. We saw the hero’s birth, the hero’s journey, and then the hero’s death. I don’t know…did I get to this point? We’ll see.” In short, no news would have come “from the upper floors”, but of Hemsworth’s desire to “end” the story. So, if there were to be a new chapter, it could presumably be Nevertheless, the public does not seem ready to salute the Nordic deity yet: the last film in the saga has indeed grossed more than 760 million dollars.
