In 2003, there was the definitive change for Italy, which officially switched from the lira to the euro after a few years of transition. Over the years, very old liras have acquired more and more value as in the case of the 50 lira cents minted in the distant 1825 in the Kingdom of Sardinia.

This, as you can identify, is a Savoyard coin, minted in 1861 and on one side is printed the face of King Carlo Felice. The piece in question was produced in Turin in 1825, 1826, 1827 and 1828, as well as those printed in Genoa if well preserved, they can be worth up to 900 euros. The real winners, however, will be those who manage to find this coin but minted in 1861. In this case, in fact, the value could go up to 90,000 euros.
