According to a new report, filming on ‘Dune: The Sisterhood’, a spin-off series from ‘Dune’, is set to begin very soon (via ComicBook.com).
Reports indicate that filming is set to begin in November 2022 in Budapest, Hungary.
The production will star Emily Watson, Indira Varma and Shirley Henderson.
Diane Ademu-John is joining as creator, writer, co-showrunner and executive producer, while Alison Schapker will also serve as co-showrunner and executive producer. Emmy winner Johan Renck will direct the first two episodes.
The story of ‘Dune: The Sisterhood’ is set 10,000 years before the events of the film, approaching two Harkonnen sisters amid the dangers and political strife of the space saga. The origin of the Bene Gesserit brotherhood will also be explored.
