In the story, Oscar nominee Rosamund Pike plays Moiraine Damodred, also known as Moiraine Sedai. The character, one of the protagonists of the novels, is an Aes Sedai, that is, a woman endowed with magical abilities that arouse fear in anyone who dares to cross her path. In her first novel, Moiraine arrives at Champ d’Emond and the town of Dois Rios and finds herself at the center of enormous problems that foreshadow the destruction or salvation of the world she knows. One of the other protagonists of the plot is Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski), a character who officially opens the first volume of the saga. Rand is a farmer and lives with his father, Tam, in the small village of Two Rivers.
