World of Reel has revealed that the final cut of “Avatar: Water Way” is 3 hours and 10 minutes long, which is 28 minutes longer than the first film.
The first chapter of ‘Avatar’ was no less than 162 minutes long (that’s almost two hours and forty minutes) – and the filmmaker has already said he wants to go further in the sequel.
“I don’t want anyone complaining about the length, especially since they sit down and do a marathon. [de séries] for eight hours,” he commented. “I can already see that part in the reviews: ‘the dying three-hour movie…’. It’s like, leave me alone. I watched five hour episodes with my kids. It’s the social paradigm that needs to change: it’s normal for you to get up and go to the bathroom.

Recalling that ‘Avatar 2: The Path of Water’ hits domestic cinemas on December 15 this year, 13 years after the release of the original.
