The drama ‘The Song of the Names’, starring Tim Roth, is out now on Amazon Prime Video. The production recently debuted on the streaming schedule.
The plot takes place in the middle of World War II, in Europe. Martin (Misha Handley), a 9-year-old boy, bonds with his caring younger brother, Dovidl (Jonah Hauer-King), a Jewish refugee in London. Martin’s admiration for Dovidl is even greater when he finds out that his brother is a violin prodigy. Years later, on the very day of a big music concert, Dovidl fled without a trace, causing enormous discontent in the family. However, even with such a chaotic setting, Martin shows that only music can solve the most difficult situations.
Clive Owen, Catherine McCormack and Eddie Izzard complete the cast.
François Girard directs the feature film, based on a script by Jeffrey Caine.
