“The Righteous Gemstones”: dramamedia season 2 wins official trailer and release date; To verify!

HBO has released the official trailer for Season 2 of “The Righteous Gemstones” and took the opportunity to confirm the premieres of the new episodes for January 9, 2022.

The production stars Danny McBride and John Goodman.

In the plot, McBride plays Jesse Gemstone, the eldest son and “heir to the throne” of a family known the world over for his work as a televangelist, “with a long tradition of deviance, greed and social work, the all done in the name of the name of Christ ”- as the official description points out.

Goodman plays Eli, Jesse’s father, known “the world over for his aggressive evangelistic techniques, world ministries and award-winning weekly TV show.” In the plot, “Jesse ends up becoming independent in the ministry realm, absorbing everything his father has built and expanding it to a much more modern audience.”
