“The Reckoning”: a young man is accused of witchcraft in the trailer for the director’s new horror of “Abyss of Fear”; Check!

Horror “The Reckoning” by filmmaker Neil Marshall (“Abyss of Fear“) has won a grim new trailer.

The Terror will be launched by Shudder on May 13.

The film, set in 1665, will explore a “terrifying time in history”, with the Black Death and the witch hunt in England as a background.

The plot follows Evelyn Haverstock (Kirk), a young widow, haunted by the recent suicide of her husband Joseph, who is falsely accused of being a witch by her owner after rejecting her unwanted advances.

The cast includes Charlotte Kirk, Joe Anderson, Steven Waddington, Sean Pertwee, Matt Ryan, Ian White and Emma Holzer.
