According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dexter Fletcher, known for his acclaimed work on “ Rocketman, ” has been hired to direct some episodes of the upcoming series “ The Offer, ” which takes us behind the scenes of the classic “ The Godfather ”.
Fletcher became the first director officially hired for the work of Paramount + and also joined as an executive producer.
It is not yet known how many episodes he will direct out of the ten that had been given the green light on the streaming platform. However, the pilot will be at your expense and will be involved in the registration process.
Michael Tolkin (“Escape at Dannemora”) created the show and wrote the screenplay.
The show is “based on the never-revealed experiences of Al Ruddy, producer of the film who previously worked on two comedies and co-created the sitcom ‘Hogan’s Heroes’. “The Godfather” became known for its eventful development before becoming one of the greatest critical and commercial successes of all time, winning five statuettes at the Oscars and earning a place among the best works in cinema.
Without further details being revealed, “ The Offer ” will begin filming in Los Angeles this summer (i.e. between June and August 2021).
