Vin Diesel’s celebrity binges made “Fast & Furious 10” the most expensive movie in history. According to The Wrap, the film’s production budget was around $340 million, 70% more than the previous film, which cost $200 million.
Justin Lin dropped the recordings due to friction with Diesel and every day the production was without a director, Universal spent $1 million a day to find a replacement.
The budget also included an increase in Vin Diesel’s salary and costs along with safety protocols for COVID-19.
The new person chosen to direct the film was Louis Leterrier, from ‘Now You See Me’ and ‘Cargo Explosive’.
Regardless, Lin remains attached as a producer to the sequel, which is slated for release in May 2023.
