Last month, the cancellation of ‘Stargirl’ was announced, marking the end of the trajectory of Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) after the 3rd season.
As in most canceled productions, the plots can end without a real end… But this is not the case with ‘Stargirl’.
During an interview with the Wayne Ayers Podcast, Bassinger revealed that the film crew shot two endings to give fans a proper ending.
One of the endings would continue the plot if the series were renewed, and the other ends the story with a dot.
🇧🇷 [O produtor] geoff [Johns] was so smart because obviously there had been a lot of changes at the CW and Warner Brothers in the last year, so the future of either show wasn’t certain, and because of that , he went the extra mile and shot two different endings because he didn’t want to leave the fans with all these question marks in their heads,” Bassinger said.

She also explained that the alternate ending was filmed in mid-March, two months before the cancellation.
“It looks like he was anticipating the cancellation. Geoff had such a wonderful idea for season 4, which I think explains why they took so long to renew or cancel. But in the end, I don’t don’t think it was meant to be.
Remember that the last chapter of the series will be broadcast on December 7 on The CW.

In the plot, “As Courtney (Brec Bassinger), Sylvester (Joel McHale) and the Justice Society plan to eliminate a major threat, the arrival of someone from their past haunts the town of Blue Valley.

Created by Geoff Johns and Greg Berlanti, the series follows the story of Courtney Whitmore (Bassinger), a high school student who joins a group of teenagers to fight crime in Los Angeles.
Amy Smart plays the heroine’s mother, Barbara. In the plot, she tries her best to be the best provider for her daughter, her new husband (Luke Wilson) and her stepson (Trae Romano).
The cast also includes Yvette Monreal, Anjelika Washington, Meg DeLacy, Neil Jackson, Christopher James Baker and Hunter Sansone.
Seth Green will be part of the new cycle as Thunderbolt, replacing Jim Gaffigan.
