The horror that makes People Hurt in theaters becomes a blockbuster!

Indie horror “Terrifier 2” became a hit at the US box office, especially after gaining popularity for literally making its viewers sick.

According to Bloody Disgusting, the film would have a short, limited theatrical release before shipping to digital/VOD platforms. The film which was going to be released in just 30 theaters but attracted investors and was released in over 300.

Early projections were in the range of $250,000 for the weekend, but the horror started with a shocking $1.2 million.

In just two weeks, the film continues to perform well and is already grossing $2.4 million, averaging $1,495 per theater.

And incredible: the film’s budget was only 250,000 US dollars.
