The Hanging Sun Movie Trailer – Midnight Sun, Sky Original starring Alessandro Borghi is the long-awaited film directed by Francesco Carrozzini, which will arrive exclusively, in premiere television, on Sky Cinema and streaming only on NOW.
Based on the novel Midnight Sun by Jo Nesbø, The Hanging Sun is a dark thriller set in the rarefied atmosphere of the Norwegian summer, where the sun never sets. Written by Stefano Bises, it stars Alessandro Borghi, Jessica Brown Findlay, Sam Spruell, Frederick Schmidt, Raphael Vicas, with Peter Mullan and Charles Dance. The photography is by Nicolaj Bruel (DFF). Presented as the closing film of the 79th Venice International Film Festival, The Hanging Sun – Midnight Sun is an Italian-British co-production, produced by Sky Studios, Cattleya and Greenland. The international distributor is NBCUniversal Global Distribution on behalf of Sky Studios. The Italian cinema distributor is Vision Distribution.

Arriving on September 10 at the 79th Venice Film Festival, The Hanging Sun – Midnight Sun is about to make its exclusive debut on Sky. Recently, after a first teaser trailer aired last August, a new promotional clip has been unveiled which also unveils the film’s highly anticipated release date.

As we know, the film boasts the presence of Alessandro Borghi in the cast, in the role of the protagonist John. The latter is a man on the run, in what has been described as “a journey to the end of the world to find himself”. John (Alessandro Borghi) is on the run. Find refuge in the heart of the forest, near a remote village in the far north, where religion rules, the sun never sets and people seem to belong to another era. Between him and his fate there is only Lea (Jessica Brown Findlay), a woman in difficulty but endowed with great strength, and her son Caleb, a curious child with a pure heart. As the midnight sun blurs reality and imagination, John will have to confront the tragic past that haunts him.
