‘The Addams Family’: Netflix Releases Tim Burton’s Live-Action Series Poster On Wandinha

Tim Burton’s live action series on “The Addams Family” for Netflix has just received its official poster.

Burton will also make her television directorial debut in a series about a mysterious and supernatural investigation if Wandinha follows up as a student at Nevermore Academy.

Recently, an unknown fan-created piece of art starring Johnny Depp and Eva Green as Gomez and Mortícia Addams was released – although the stars have yet to be confirmed in the roles:

According to the Small Screen website, Burton really wants Johnny Depp to play Gomez. The filmmaker sees the star as “one of the few who can do the character justice”, Mortícia’s husband.

As many already know, Burton is a great collaborator of Depp, who starred in several productions of the filmmaker, such as the classic “Edward Scissorhands” (1990).

But if he expresses his confidence in the star’s talents, it looks like Netflix’s reps have to be convinced about the lineup.

That’s because production officials want to avoid any relationship to controversies involving Depp and his ex-wife, Amber Heard, who accused him of domestic violence.

Yet a legion of fans are already campaigning for Depp and Burton to return to work together on the next attraction.

Recalling that the series will take place nowadays, with Wandinha Addams acting as the main character.

The screenplay will be written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, best known for creating and producing the hit series “Smallville”.

For those who don’t know, the Addams Family was created by cartoonist Charles Addams in 1938 as tapes for The New Yorker magazine. The characters have spawned live and animated action series, books, video games, and even a musical, which was shown in Brazil in 2012, starring Daniel Boaventura and Marisa Orth as couple Gomez and Morticia Addams.

In film, the creation gave birth to “The Addams Family”, a successful hit in 1991, and 2 years later, “The Addams Family II”, both directed by Barry Sonnenfeld. Anjelica Huston and Raul Julia played the Addams couple. Christopher Lloyd was Uncle Fester and Christina Ricci lived on Wednesday Addams (Wandinha).

The third film, “The Return of the Addams Family,” was released direct on video in 1998.
