A few months ago, Netflix announced the series “ Wednesday, ” which will revolve around Wandinha Addams, the iconic and psychotic daughter of the Addams family.
Now, according to new information from The Illuminerdi, Christina Ricci, who brought the character to life in the last two live-action feature films of the saga, is in negotiations to play the new version of Morticia, mother of Wandinha (already played by names like Anjelica Huston, Daryl Hannah and Charlize Theron).
As the streaming platform has yet to comment, consider the news to be a rumor.

Burton will also make her television directorial debut in a series about a mysterious and supernatural investigation if Wandinha follows up as a student at Nevermore Academy.
Recalling that the series will take place nowadays, with Wandinha Addams acting as the main character.
The screenplay will be written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, best known for creating and producing the hit series “Smallville”.
For those who don’t know, the Addams Family was created by cartoonist Charles Addams in 1938, as tapes for The New Yorker magazine. The characters have spawned live and animated series, books, video games, and even a musical, which premiered in Brazil in 2012, starring Daniel Boaventura and Marisa Orth as pair Gomez and Morticia Addams.

In the cinema, the creation gave birth to “The Addams Family”, a hit in 1991, and 2 years later, “The Addams II Family”, both directed by Barry Sonnenfeld. Anjelica Huston and Raul Julia played the Addams couple. Christopher Lloyd was Uncle Fester and Christina Ricci lived on Wednesday Addams (Wandinha).
The third film, “The Return of the Addams Family,” was released direct on video in 1998.
