Indie horror “Terrifier 2” became a US box office hit, mostly after gaining popularity for literally making its viewers sick. The film would have a short and limited theatrical release before shipping to digital/VOD platforms and would only open in 30 theaters, but attracted investors and was released in over 300.
So far, the feature remains without a premiere date in theaters and streaming in Brazil, but moviegoers can check out the franchise’s first film available on streaming platforms.
“Terrorizante” is available in Brazil on Looke and for rental on YouTube, Microsoft and Apple iTunes.
Early projections for the sequel were in the $250,000 range for the weekend, but the horror kicked off with a shocking $1.2 million.
In just two weeks, the film continues to perform well and is already grossing $2.4 million, averaging $1,495 per theater.
Have fun watching:
And incredible: the film’s budget was only 250,000 US dollars.
Last week there were several reports of people fainting and vomiting during screenings of the film – which is shaping up to be extremely VIOLENT.

I just saw Terrifier 2. It was an incredible bloody mess. The guy behind me passed out and crashed into my chair another guy left because he wasn’t feeling well I heard him say and on my way out of the movie theater I heard a guy throwing up loud and loud in the bathroom. #Terrify2 @damienleone

After being resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to Miles County, where he must hunt down and destroy a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night. Pray not to get in your way.
David H. Thornton returns as a sadistic clown. Lauren LaVera will star in the sequel.
“Terrifying” was originally released in 2016 on a limited basis and ended up winning over slasher horror fans.
