Taika Waititi, director of ‘Thor 3’ and ‘Thor 4’, said what was the only condition for him to return for the fifth God of Thunder movie. For Taika, there is only the possibility that he will return if actor Chris Hemsworth is also in the cast.
The filmmaker revealed how off-guard he was with the character’s return notice at the end of the credits for ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ (2022).
“That was a surprise to me as well. I’m not kidding. I saw it in the cinema and I was like, ‘Oh shit. Serious?’ even chris [Hemsworth] was like, ‘What?’ But of course he will come back. He’s the best character. I mean, maybe I’m a little biased, but it’s the most fun to watch,” Taika said.
Who continued: “Now I don’t know what the next one would look like. [filme]. I would definitely do one, but only if Chris was. However, it would have to be something surprising and unexpected for me to accept. What would the new take look like? The battles and all the fights are good, but I would like something that feels unexpected as far as the story goes.
It should be recalled that Taika Waititi made a huge blunder when he invited Natalie Portman to participate in a new film “Star Wars”, which he is producing.
Have fun watching:
Portman returned to the MCU as Jane Foster in “Thor: Love and Thunder”, directed by Waititi, forgot that she also starred in the prequels to the saga created by George Lucas. The director revealed to Rolling Stone USA that he invited Portman to a new Star Wars project.
“One day on set, Natalie asked me what my next project would be. I said, ‘I’m trying to do this Star Wars project. Have you ever wanted to be in a Star Wars movie?’ And she said, “I’ve done Star Wars movies.” I had completely forgotten about them,” recalls an embarrassed Taika.
It should be remembered that Portman played Padmé Amidala in the first three episodes of ‘Star Wars’, ‘The Phantom Menace’ (1999), ‘Attack of the Clones’ (2002) and ‘Revenge of the Sith’ (2005). The character was queen of the planet Naboo and later became a senator for the Galactic Republic.
