In an interview with TVLine, showrunner Robert Rovner raised the possibility of Mon-El (Chris Wood) returning in the final season of “Supergirl”.
“At the moment we have no plans for Mon-El’s return, but if it’s possible in the story… We love Chris [Wood]. He’s part of the ‘Supergirl’ family, but for now we have no plans to bring him back.
Despite this, showrunner Jessica Queller revealed that there were plans for the return of some familiar faces in the final cycle: “We definitely have plans for the return of familiar faces last season. We hope everything is going well so that we can have a very exciting closed loop with some of our favorite characters.
It’s worth remembering that Mon-El last appeared on an alternate timeline, fighting Reign in the 100th episode of the series.
Created by Ali Adler, Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, the series originally aired on CBS but changed channels after Cycle Two, being part of the CW catalog and officially joining the Arrowverse.

During the destruction of Krypton, little Kara Zor-El is sent to Earth to protect her cousin Kal-El (Superman), who is still a baby as one of the survivors of the destruction of her home planet. At the age of 12, her cousin, already Superman, saves her and puts her in the care of a family of scientific friends, the Danvers. Kara Danvers grew up like a normal (or almost) child and, at the age of 24, worked as an assistant Cat Grant at CatCo Worldwide Media, without anyone suspecting her superpowers.
