The ‘Supergirl‘ saga will come to an end this year, with its 6th season, and will be marked by a historic moment, with one of its actresses signing the script for one of the episodes.
Azie Tesfai, interpreter of the character Kelly Olsen, will co-write the 12th chapter of the season in question, becoming the first actress in the history of the Arrowverse universe to accomplish this feat.
Tesfai signs the screenplay alongside producer J. Holtham. The episode will be directed by David Ramsey, known for playing John Diggle in the “Arrow” series.
The actress made her “ Supergirl ” debut in the second half of Season 4.
The final cycle will consist of 20 episodes. In the United States, the final season won’t hit the CW until May 2021.
Created by Ali Adler, Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, the series originally aired on CBS, but changed channels after Cycle Two, being part of the CW catalog and officially joining the Arrowverse.
During the destruction of Krypton, little Kara Zor-El is sent to Earth to protect her cousin Kal-El (Superman), who is still a baby and is also one of the survivors of the destruction of her home planet. Along the way, Kara’s ship deviates from the original route and ends up on a planet where time does not pass. At the age of 12, her cousin, already Superman, saves her and puts her in the care of a family of scientific friends, the Danvers. Kara Danvers grows up like a normal (or almost) child and, at 24, works as an assistant Cat Grant at CatCo Worldwide Media, without anyone suspecting her superpowers. One day, her adopted sister, Alex, is on a plane that crashes and begins to fall. Kara, who has always gotten on very well with her sister, decides to save her with the help of her superpowers. After that, she finds out that the sister actually works for the DEO and joins the organization, dividing herself between the life of an assistant and Supergirl.
The cast includes Melissa Benoist, Chyler Leigh, Mehcad Brooks, Katie McGrath, Jesse Rath, Nicole Maines, David Harewood and Azie Tesfai.
