Summer Job, here are the candidates for the first Italian reality show for Netflix

Netflix recently released the trailer and images for Summer Job, the first original Italian reality show produced by Banijay Italia. The video streaming platform has therefore shown the 10 young competitors who will be involved: let’s get to know them better.

The first video images present the 10 young Summer Job candidates: Angelica, Gian Marco, Lavinia, Marina, Matthias, Melina, Pietro, Pit, Samuele and Sofia. The participants will be accompanied by Matilde Gioli, who will guide and support them to overcome the many challenges they will face during the 8 episodes. The protagonists, aged 18 to 23, are chosen to spend a dream vacation in a paradise villa in Mexico, on the Riviera Maya. Partying and having fun seems like the only thing they’ll have to think about. What they don’t know, however, is that to continue the adventure and have the most amazing vacation of their lives, they’ll have to do something they’ve never done in their life: work.

After the first 24 hours during which they will be able to enjoy all the comforts made available, young candidates for summer jobs will discover that everything has a cost. To live an exotic dream adventure, the price to pay will be to face their first professional experience. In order to increase the weekly budget and keep having fun, they will have to work in some of the local Riviera businesses under the supervision and judgment of very demanding bosses.

Divided into groups of 2 or 3 people each, they will try their hand at different summer jobs each week (waiters, animal shelter helpers, maintenance and gardening workers, etc.). Those who do not complete the work assigned to them by the employer or who do not do so with commitment, will not receive their salary on the weekend and risk elimination.

Let’s get to know the 10 candidates for the Summer Job better: Angelica is 21 years old and comes from Puglia. She really likes fashion. She likes to stand out from other girls with her strong personality. Gian Marco is 22 years old, is Sardinian and lives in Milan. He just graduated in fashion design. His friends call him “Il Baronetto” or “Briatore”. He defines himself as a lover of beauty. Lavinia is 19 years old and lives alone in Milan. She has finished high school but has taken time to decide what she wants to be when she grows up. Marina is 20 years old and is of Filipino descent. He has been on a sabbatical for nearly two years. If he had to sum up his life in three words, it would be these: aperitifs, travels and parties.

Matthias is 18 years old and comes from Veneto. He graduated from a private college in London. He never worked. Melina is 21 years old, she is from Turin but of Brazilian origin. She is a very exuberant girl. Peter is 20 years old. Appearing for him is essential. In particular, she loves her curls. For him, working and wasting his time on things he doesn’t like is “cruel”. Pit is 21 years old. He loves football, the competition of which he enjoys. He has never received a two of spades from a girl. Samuele is 19 years old and comes from Cuneo. He is the son of former volleyball player Luigi Mastrangelo. He defines himself as an athlete, but he is also a crypto-trader. He does not want to answer to anyone, he prefers to be his own boss. Sofia is 20 years old and lives in Centocelle, a suburb of Rome. The mother is Peruvian. He doesn’t like rules, he just wants to fully enjoy his vacation.

The trailer released by Netflix also formalized the release date: Summer Job will debut on December 16 in all countries where the service is active.
