Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Anakin Skywalker’s voice actor to reprise his role in new saga project

Hayden Christensen played Anakin Skywalker in the movies, but it was Matt Lanter who voiced the character in all 7 seasons of “ Star Wars: The Clone Wars, ” between 2008 and 2022.

And although the animation is over, Lanter has revealed to Entertainment Weekly that he will reprise the role in a new project in the saga.

“There is a new animation in development at Lucasfilm. I’ve been involved in things that I can’t talk about yet. But I can assure you that you will see Anakin again. I never gave up on the character, whether it was dubbing games or new studio projects, ”he says enthusiastically.

Unfortunately, he didn’t give details about the project, but Anakin may appear in flashbacks to the ‘The Bad Batch‘ animation, which accompanies some clone troopers during the rise of the Empire.

The star also reflected on the end of “ The Clone Wars ”, saying:

“I think the end of the series wasn’t that shocking to me because we were able to give the plot a proper ending. I was shocked at the end of Season 6 because no one knew if we were going to finish the story the first time around, so there was that feeling of “ unfinished business ” … But this time we got it. ‘finished as planned. by Dave [Filoni, co-criador da animação].
