‘Spider-Man 3’ could launch ‘Sinister Six’ movie

Published

on

MCU fans were taken aback when it was announced that Jamie Foxx would reprise his electro role in the upcoming ‘Spider-Man 3’.

And the arrival of the villain may be a strong indication of the introduction of the “ Sinister Sextet ” into the Marvel shared universe.

The details of the sequence still remain well preserved, but Electro was the missing piece in the grid of characters that can make up the villainous squad.

In addition to Electro, Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a strong contender for the group, as fans believe he likely forged his supposed death.

Recalling that Adrian Toomes (Michael Keaton), the Vulture, has already threatened the leader of the Web in the 1st film with his group of allies, composed by Herman Schultz, the Shocker (Bokeem Woodbine), Tinkerer (Michael Chernus), and Mac Gargan (Michael Mando), who would later become Scorpion in the comics.

Additionally, reporter KC Walsh hinted that “ Spider-Man 3 ” will bring a classic villain from the original “ Spider-Man ” trilogy: Doctor Octopus.

The villain, played by Alfred Molina, is one of the most iconic in the arachnid pantheon and appeared in “ Spider-Man 2 ” in 2004.

Asked about the appearance of the Sinister Sextet in the third film in the new franchise, Walsh responded with a gif of Molina as the villain. If the rumors hold true, it will be interesting to analyze the return of Doctor Octopus, since he passed away at the end of ‘Spider-Man 2’.

Morbius (Jared Leto) can also have a place in the group, if one of the mentioned members is left out initially.

Either way, Marvel and Sony are already laying the groundwork to adapt the team for the future, which fans have been waiting for since the post-credit scene of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ (2012).

It only remains to wait and see how the studio will handle the range of characters inserted on the big screen.

Recently, Harry Osborn interpreter Dane DeHaan confirmed to Collider that Sony intended to adapt the “ Sinister Sextet ” for theaters before Spider-Man made it to the MCU.

“It’s pretty obvious, isn’t it?” In the second film, they left several tracks and provoked the audience with the arrival of the “Sinister Sextet”. I don’t know a lot of details, but Duende Verde would be the frontman of the group and there would be several movies with new villains. The idea ended up being canceled due to the new deal between Sony and Marvel Studios. “

Speaking of ‘Spider-Man 3’, the comic has reported that the new feature may be titled ‘Spider-Man: Homesick’.

The title makes sense and blends in perfectly with Tom Holland’s previous films, ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’, respectively.

Obviously, the information has not been confirmed, but the most concrete proof is that the title had already been published by Esquire and Maximum magazines.

Did you like the possible title of the sequence?

The sequel’s premiere is still scheduled for December 17, 2021, but it is possible that with the postponement of production, the launch will be affected.

In addition to Tom Holland’s return as the titular character, Zendaya will reprise his role as MJ. And it’s very likely that a large chunk of the cast will return as well, including Marisa Tomei and Jacob Batalon.

Recalling that Amy Pascal will act as producer of the sequence alongside Kevin Feige, representing Sony and Marvel respectively.
