Illustrator Phil Saunders has released concept art for “Spider-Man: No Homecoming,” highlighting the Green Goblin’s (Willem Dafoe) final costume.
The footage brings glimpses of the new gadgets attached to the costume the villain wears at the start of the film, as well as details of the damaged parts after his fight with Peter Parker (Tom Holland).
The artist explained that:
“The goal of the new design was to pay homage to Sam Raimi’s movie costume and update it enough for the MCU without losing its identity. At the same time, we wanted to bring references to the comic book look. That’s why I made it a point to highlight his purple hood and give him new pieces with this coloring. My argument was that May would give him clothes to cover up, including a purple sweatshirt, which would be torn up in his fight against Peter.
