Showrunner Jon Hurwitz today (19) announced on his official Twitter that filming for season 5 of the beloved ‘Cobra Kai’ series has been completed, even before the fourth cycle premiere.
Hurwitz posted a photo revealing the good news and confirming production in Atlanta is over.
Details on the fifth iteration have not been revealed.
COBRA KAI takes place 30 years after the 1984 All Valley tournament, and the inevitable conflict between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) continues.
In season three, they are all stunned after the violent brawl between the two dojos at the school, which seriously injured Miguel. As Daniel revisits the past for answers and Johnny seeks redemption, Kreese further manipulates his vulnerable students with his ideas of domination. The soul of the Valley is at stake, as is the fate of all students and senseis.
Besides Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, the cast includes Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser and Jacob Bertrand.
