Series creator Kenny Ortega has released an official statement following the news, thanking fans for their support and the time he spent with his team:
“We send our love and thanks to fans of the show around the world for the support you’ve shown us since the premiere. We found out this week that Netflix hasn’t given us a makeover for a second season. Although we are sad , we will go forward with pride for what we have accomplished as a team and as a family that we have built by creating this series.
In the plot, teenage Julie discovers her passion for music and life when she creates a group with a trio of ghosts.
Madison Reyes, Charlie Gillespie, Jeremy Shada and Owen Joyner starred in the new version.
It should be remembered that the original domestic production was a huge success and even won a nomination for Best Children’s Program at the International Emmy.
