“Smallville” turns 20 this year, and it looks like fans will be returning to see, or rather hear, Tom Welling and Michael Rosembarum reprise their roles as Clark Kent and Lex Luthor.
That’s because the acclaimed series will have a sequel in the animated format.
The news was revealed by Welling himself, who recorded a special video for a fan of the series and said he intends to incorporate much of the original cast into the new project.

As of yet, no further details about the attraction have been released, but updates are expected to be announced as soon as production begins.
For those who don’t remember, “Smallville” followed the adventures of Clark Kent before becoming Superman. and remained on the air between 2001 and 2011.
One of the pioneering series in television comedy adaptation, “Smallville” remained on the air between 2001 and 2011.
The cast also included Allison Mack (Chloe Sullian), Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lang), Annette O’Toole (Martha Kent), John Schneider (Jonathan Kent), John Glover (Lionel Luthor) and Justin Hartley (Oliver Queen).
