‘Scream 6’ is already a reality, and while sequel details aren’t revealed, we know that several names from the previous film will return – and veteran Courteney Cox will reprise her role as the iconic Gale Weathers for the sixth time.
Now, in a recent interview with Variety, Cox commented on the character’s return and said Gale may never die.
“I’m not dead, so yeah, you’ll see me,” the actress said. “Gale is strong enough. Maybe she never [morra]but who knows!”.
Set in New York, the plot of the upcoming film will follow the four survivors of Ghostface’s latest massacre as they leave Woodsboro to begin a new chapter in their lives.
Melissa Barrera (Sam), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy), Mason Gooding (Chad) and Jenna Ortega (Tara) will be back, as will Hayden Panettiere (Kirby) and Cox (Gale Weathers).
