Even though Ryan Reynolds has a good relationship and friendship with Hugh Jackman, and many gave him credit for bringing back the star of the ‘X-Men’ franchise as Wolverine in ‘Deadpool 3’, things don’t didn’t quite turn out that way.
Reynolds, in a recent interview with Collider, said it was Jackman himself who contacted him about his desire to be the eternal Logan again.
“My first meeting with Kevin Feige was when Disney bought Fox, and it was about making a movie with the two of us, Deadpool and Wolverine, but that wasn’t possible at the time. So Hugh just called at the perfect time to say he was interested in returning as Logan.
“He showed interest in coming back, so my job was just to bring that to Kevin Feige,” he said.

“Deadpool 3” will be directed by Shawn Levy (“Stranger Things”) and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the first two anti-hero adventures.
The film will mark another collaboration between Reynolds and Levy following ‘Free Guy: Taking Control’ and ‘The Adam Project’.
