“With this movie, I really wanted to go back to the first two original games and recreate the terrible visceral experience I had when I first played them, while also telling a human story based on a dying little American town that seems be identifiable and relevant to today’s audiences, ”said writer and director Jonathan Roberts.
He scripted the reboot alongside Greg Russo.
Recently, Russo praised the films’ original saga, pointing out that in order for a reboot to make sense, it is necessary to bring a differentiated approach.
The franchise reboot opens in theaters on September 3, 2021, a week before its first release.
