Prince Harry’s therapy and mental health: his words

Published

on

Prince Harry shared some details about his own personal experience with the therapy, saying it helped him make some important decisions. From his words, it emerged that the sessions made him feel empowered to choose how to live his life after leaving the English royal family. In the past, the Duke of Sussex has admitted that therapy has helped him overcome important moments in his life, such as the death of his mother.

On this occasion, it was his brother, Prince William, who advised him on a course of therapy. But Prince Harry continued the sessions with the psychologist, saying they helped him a lot. He spoke about it recently at the opening of the Masters of Scale Summit.

MANIPULATE

A few years ago, in 2017, he had already mentioned the advantages and the difficulties encountered in this way. He said: “I can safely say that losing my mother at the age of 12, and therefore shutting down all my emotions over the past 20 years, has had a rather serious effect not only on my personal life, but also about my work.” But the new statements suggest it also conditioned him into the controversial choice to leave the royal family.

Prince Harry and Therapeutic Aid to Open Your Eyes

This isn’t the first time Prince Harry has opened up about his mental health issues. It is no coincidence, in fact, that this is a subject close to his heart. Fortunately, he was able to enjoy the benefits of the therapy, and for this he shared the experience. She recently said, “The moment I started therapy, it opened my eyes. I went through life thinking there was only one way to live. And the therapy burst that bubble.”

MANIPULATE

The Duke of Sussex also claimed to live with a ‘bubble’ which at one point ‘burst’. At some point, he regained “a confidence that I never thought I had”. Prince Harry also reportedly said he never heard of therapy or coaching growing up in the royal family or serving in the military.

MANIPULATE

Meghan Markle also went through periods that weighed on her mental health. The couple therefore have three emotional support dogs, the Duke of Sussex himself revealed on World Mental Health Day earlier this month. On this occasion he said: “I’ll tell you something, we all need a dog to calm us down”.
