‘Pray for us’: Supernatural terror debuts with $ 3.2 million in US

Despite the ‘Godzilla vs. Kong ‘topped the US box office, terror’ Rogai Por Nós’ managed to frighten audiences by raising $ 3.2 million on his first weekend in the country.

Released in 1,850 theaters, the film cost an average of $ 1,729,000 per screening.

Unfortunately, the terror has not yet been launched on the international market.

Produced by Sam Raimi (“ Drag me to Hell ”), the film is set to premiere in national theaters on May 20.

“Rogai Por Nós” accompanies Alice, a hearing-impaired young woman who, after an alleged visit from the Virgin Mary, inexplicably manages to hear and heal people. As the story becomes known and more believers travel to witness their miracles, a decadent journalist (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), hoping to relive his career, travels to the small town of Nova Scotia. England to investigate. When terrifying events start to happen, he begins to wonder if these phenomena are the work of the Virgin Mary or something sinister.

The cast includes Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Katie Aselton, William Sadler, Cricket Brown, Diogo Morgado and Cary Elwes.

The plot is based on the book Shrine, written by James Herbert and published in 1983.
