In the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic, Hollywood has rescheduled its main awards to take place in a supportive and safe environment for members of the industry and the trade press.
And the awards ceremony for the 2022 Oscars has seen its official date postponed. Initially scheduled for February 27, the big delivery of the most coveted statuette will take place a month later, on March 27. The announcement of the nominees will take place on February 8.
Above all, when it comes to the Golden Globes, the story is quite different. In light of recent controversies surrounding the lack of representation within the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, as well as the group’s voting practices, the 2022 Golden Globe ceremony will no longer be broadcast on NBC.
Still, the network television network is open to airing the ceremony in 2023 if the HFPA responds to criticism of a major reform.
