Moschino intends to breathe new life into denim in a new ready-to-wear collection that will hit the market soon.
Something blue is bubbling in the Moschino house. Even the house has succumbed to the charm of denim, to the point of dedicating a new collection to it called M05CH1N0 Jeans. In recent months, the fashion world has restored denim to its ancestral splendor, offering it in all sauces and in all seasons as, if not the main component, at least as a co-star.

But the one offered by the brand in this case is not a real novelty, but rather a reinterpretation of something pre-existing that finds new life. The ready-to-wear collection of purely feminine clothing and accessories references a Moschino Jeans line that dates back to the 1980s.
Moschino restores the charm of denim
Specifically, the line in question was launched in 1986 by the founder of the brand from which the house takes its name. Franco Moschino already at the time was able to exploit the charm of the denim look and, forty years later, the brand has chosen to reinterpret the idea with a new line. While exploiting its look, Moschino remains faithful to its fashion setting, so it will certainly add its touch of irony and eye-popping visual effects.

At the moment the house has not shown any visual elements for the new M05CH1N0 jeans line: there are no images or videos, but we have a date. It does indeed appear that the Pre-Fall 2023 collection will hit the market in May 2023. Available both in physical and online stores, the new collection so far only has a logo. The house explained that the new line will include items in denim, but also in chambray, cotton, jersey, velvet and leather. The goal is to pay homage to the house’s classic models, but with great support in jeans. New creative director Jeremy Scott wants to pay homage to the spirit of denim culture and history, but without forgetting the brand’s tradition.

In this case, the denim is stone washed, sanforized and also frayed. As WWD explains, this new launch is something of a homecoming for Moschino. After the men’s collection show at Fashion Week, the brand is ready for a new era. Just think that a few weeks ago he also showed interest in Chiara Ferragni and Pantene. Forti Insieme is the title of the initiative, now in its second edition, which aims to offer strong financial support to entrepreneurial projects that work for social inclusion. The PanteneXMoschino capsule also represents the project.
