A test of “Matrix Ressurections” has already been organized by Warner Bros. and according to the World of Reel portal (via WeGotThisCovered), the upcoming production is definitely something new and far from a direct sequel to the original trilogy.
A secret and unknown source, who allegedly saw the film, has detailed some alleged information regarding the film and several possible spoilers have come to light.
The viewer in question still uses Wes Craven’s horror classic, “The New Nightmare – Freddy Krueger’s Return,” as a point of reference. In the plot, all of the characters appear to be fully aware of the original trilogy.
Morpheus by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Agent Smith by Jonathan Groff are re-encoded versions of their previous iterations, with Neil Patrick Harris as the villain.
Here, Neo (Keanu Reeves) is actually a game developer who works for a company owned by Warner Bros. called Deus Machina, who created console titles that make up a series known as The Matrix.

In addition to Reeves (Neo), the feature film features the return of Carrie-Ann Moss (Trinity), Jada Pinkett-Smith (Niobe) and Daniel Bernhardt (Agent Johnson), as well as the introduction of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Christina Ricci and Priyanka Chopra.
“Matrix” was released in 1999 and acclaimed around the world for its pioneering visual effects. The original won four Oscars and grossed $ 463 million worldwide.
Two sequels followed, ‘The Matrix: Reloaded’ and ‘The Matrix: Revolutions’, both of which hit theaters in 2003.
In total, the trilogy raised $ 1.6 billion for Warner Bros. Pictures.
